‘Can you see yourself in my eyes?’
In a quiet voice you remark
Under your long lashes
Lies the water still and dark

Tears flow in the form of waves
My reflection is breaking apart
From over the curtain of jade,
Night is falling to your heart

​

Together with the afterglow
I drink the water of your eyes
Merging into the vaporous days,
I dream a dream of skies

​

I become a bird there
And fly in the darkened hours
To the ocean you have crossed
Nothing can be heard here
But the sparkle of falling stars
They light what you have lost

​

I see in your eyes clear myself
Amongst the lashes of balustrades
When our depths get upset once,
Then it swiftly fades

​

Comes later and later your voice
It’s getting out of sync with your lips
The pupils, sinking deep,
Blackened like the moon in eclipse

​

From flooding pictures in my head 
I scoop the lustre of your eyes
Rocking is my boat on your tears
Now it will capsize

​

Drifted wrecks of your dream
By the tears swelling from inside
Wearing nacre almost broken,
I become a dolphin
And go up against the tide
To reach you again
